His Perspective

Although we both grew up in Dunwoody a few minutes apart, Case and I didn’t meet until after graduating college. Some of my fraternity brothers in college were her friends from summer camp growing up. After college, we both moved back to Atlanta and our friend groups intermingled many times. My growing interest in her peaked when she finally became single, but then inconveniently decided to immediately move to New York in 2018.

Fast forward to Christmas 2020, I was at a group dinner that ended with drinks at the St. Regis bar. After proudly pulling my weight as the “7th wheel” at dinner earlier that night, Katie Hamrick mentioned “Casey Hartigan is in town from NYC!” With surprise and excitement, I said “YES set me up with her!”

A few days later we went to La Tavola in Virginia Highland and shut the restaurant down. Needless to say, it was the best last first date.

Her Perspective

I technically have known Fletcher since our early 20s! We both lived in Atlanta right out of college. Thanks to my friends from Camp High Harbor who were friends with Fletch at UGA, we would occasionally be at the same parties and going out groups. I always thought he was handsome, hilarious and the classic “nice guy.” We totally hit it off one night, but I was moving to NYC the next morning.

After Christmas 2020, I decided to stay in Atlanta for a couple more weeks because NYC was shut down with covid restrictions. Out of the blue, I get a text about Fletcher (shout out Katie Hamrick and Carolyn Whalen for playing matchmaker)! Our first date was at La Tavola in early January 2021. We talked for hours and it was just the best date I had ever been on!

Summer 2021

Pretty early into our relationship, Fletcher joined the a Hartigan family trip to Napa. We quickly fell in love with wine country and it kick started our love for wine tasting & collecting. Our favorite winery, Progeny, became our celebratory wine that we’d drink on special occasions (*great place to get engaged)

2021 - 2022

Even though Fletcher was “NEVER” going to live in NYC (challenge accepted) and Casey wasn’t in any rush to move back to ATL, we went all in on long distance. We spent a year and a half working on our Delta status, visiting each other’s cities and meeting up for weekend trips.
